One of the cooler features of the AOL Radio app is that it makes use of the iPhone’s location awareness to deliver local radio stations. If you hit the “Local” tab at the bottom, the app will ask you if it’s ok to use your location.
After selecting yes, if you live in a major metropolitan area, a list of local radio stations comes up. Here’s a few of my Chicago stations:
The AOL Radio app is one of my early favorite apps. The fact that you can listen to local radio stations from all over the country on your phone is pretty cool. A couple of recommendations are Baltimore’s ESPN 1300 radio and New York’s 660 WFAN.

I love the AOL radio app. I do have a few concerns. When I’m listening to a station, my iPhone does not ring when I receive an incoming call, and neither can I receive text message alerts.
