Freebird is a free iPhone app for concert goers who want to hold up a lighter during their favorite rock ballad but don’t carry a lighter.
What sets apart Freebird from other similar apps is that the flame on the lighter is animated, so it dances and flickers like a real flame.
Also available are two other images: a candle (for vigils) and a glo-stick (for all-night raves). These are not animated, however.
Freebird is totally free, so go ahead and shout, “Play Freebird, dude!”
