i.TV (free, iTunes link) is my go-to app for TV show times. It presents the information immediately in an easy-to-read format. You set up the app once by registering a free account and supplying it with some info like location and cable provider.
Every time you log on, it automatically pulls up the schedule of shows playing at the moment. From there, you can easily scan or jump forward to future listings, and best of all, it does it quickly.
Although I chiefly use the app for TV schedules, it also provides information such as movies at local theaters. You can even watch movie trailers and commercials promoting TV shows.
You can use the app to send a reminder email to watch a show, and to rate shows, share information via email, and several other features that I promise you’ll never want to use.
Pros: Best TV guide app out there. Free. Current TV listings are instantly displayed (it’s fast). Looks great.
Cons: A few pointless features clutter the app a little. Displays large ads. Search feature doesn’t work very well.
Check out our forums for tips on how to use i.TV (eg, how to show only your favorite movie theaters.)
i.TV is a free download on the iTune App Store.
