Need a cab but don’t have a telephone number? Call A Cab (free, download) will find you a ride. Launch the app, and it uses your current location (via the iPhone’s GPS) to list the 5 closest taxi services. Simply tap any of their names once to call for a cab.
Living in Chicago, I already have my preferred taxi services in my iPhone’s contact info. But if you’re traveling, this could be a very useful app. And it’s a free download.
