SHOUTcast Radio (free, iTunes link) is currently the best free radio app in the App Store. It gives access to over 25,000 stations from around the world, including local music and talk stations. While it doesn’t quite have the number of professional radio stations as WunderRadio (review), an Art of the iPhone favorite, there are a few station gems like Howard Stern satellite radio.
SHOUTcast radio is a free download in the iTunes App Store.
Tip: Higher quality audio streams are available in the app, but they need to be turned in the iPhone’s Settings menu (not the app’s settings). Scroll down in the iPhone settings to SHOUTcast radio.

We recently launched our station onto the iPhone by using a SHOUTcast hos that supports streaming direct to the iPhone without having to use an app. It is much better not to have to get listeners to have to instal yet another app onto thier iPhone.
