The Macally USB Car Charger ($10) is a basic charger and works with a variety of USB devices including the iPhone. Its most distinguishing feature is its slick design and shape that blends glossy black with chrome trim. It comes with an internal fuse to protect your iPhone from power surges as well as an LED power indicator to let you know power is flowing to your iPhone. The Boxwave VersaCharger Pro ($35) is a combination car charger and wall charger (it can also be an “airplane charger” with a converter tool that can be purchased separately from Boxwave). The VersaCharger is an international charger as it has an “intelligent universal voltage conversion circuit” that allows for use in just about all countries. The VersaCharger Pro does not come with an iPhone cable, so you’ll have to use the one that came with the iPhone or purchase an extra one.
