An update to MLB At Bat 2009 ($9.99, iTunes link) has added in-app purchasing of live video for individual games. The games cost $0.99 each. The same blackout rules for local games still apply. The app continues to offer free video of 1 to 2 games a day as well as audio to every MLB baseball game.
The in-app purchasing of games works through your iTunes account, so there’s no need to set anything up with MLB.com.
The update also added customizable push notifications to alert you when games are about to start and when games end along with the final score.
MLB At Bat 2009 is a $9.99 download in the iTunes App Store.
