Here’s a highly recommended bargain. I Dig It (iTunes link) is now only $0.99 for a limited time (was $1.99). The object of this addictive game is to dig as far into the depths of the Earth as you can using a drill. However, you must do a delicate dance of upgrading to go deeper and deeper. Fuel capacity, drill coolant, radar, and other features must be upgraded along the way, else you might get stuck in the cool deep darkness, never to see the light of day again.
Treasures buried in the earth fund your upgrades, which you must carry back up to the surface to sell. The deeper you go, the more valuable things you find. Just don’t let your greed take you too deep too fast–your infernal machine might not make it back.
Be warned, this is the type of game that can bleed away hours of your time. The deeper in the bowels of the Earth you go, the longer it takes to get back to the surface. The gameplay is well balanced, although the graphics could be a little bit better. Highly recommended.
