Just in time for the holiday season, Apple has released two new “there’s an app for that” iPhone ads. The commercials once again focus on apps, featuring brief glimpses of 6 apps each, and end with the slightly altered tagline, “There are now over a 100,000 apps for just about anything.” The song in the background is “Submarine Symphonika” (iTunes link) by The Submarines.
Gift
The first, called “Gift,” shows off the following apps:
- Target (iTunes link)
- ColorChange (iTunes link)
- The Snow Report (iTunes link)
- Monopoly Here & Now: The World Edition (iTunes link)
- HotelPal (iTunes link)
- Zipcar (iTunes link)
Song
The second ad is “Song“, and covers the following apps:
- Jamie Oliver’s 20 Minute Meals (iTunes link)
- Credit Card Terminal (iTunes link)
- Facebook (iTunes link)
- The Sims 3 (iTunes link)
- Redfin Real Estate (iTunes link)
- Shazam (iTunes link)
Neither ad is specifically Christmas related, though the first one does have a rather holiday feel, with emphasis on buying presents, ski conditions, and travel.

Does anyone know what the “hj” app is in the ‘gift’ commercial? I tried searching for it in ghe app store and couldn’t find it.
