Walmart usually has the most anticipated Black Friday circular, but its 2009 Black Friday deals are somewhat of a disappointment for iPhone owners. Walmart’s leaked Black Friday circular is 32 pages, but you’ll have to look elsewhere if iPhone accessories are on your list — there’s little to satisfy you here. Target, Office Depot and Best Buy are better options if you’re shopping for iPhone accessories on Black Friday.
Sony iPod Speaker
The Sony iPod Speaker is the only iPhone accessory on Walmart’s Black Friday circular. Walmart will be selling this speaker dock, which is compatible with iPods and the iPhone, for $69. It normally sells for $89.88 on Walmart.com. The dock includes a clock radio and “wake to music” functionality.
Bottom line: Great deal. This is one of the cheapest prices you’re probably going to find for this product. Office Depot will be selling the same speaker dock for $79.99 on Black Friday.
8GB iPod touch
Walmart will also be selling the 8GB iPod touch for $195 on Black Friday, plus a $50 iTunes gift card. The 8GB iPod touch normally sells for $199.
Bottom line: Wait and see. It’s not a bad price for the iPod touch, and the gift card is a nice bonus, but the Apple store might be offering a better deal on Black Friday. Apple’s rumored Black Friday circular includes “up to” 30% off all iPods, which would make the 8GB iPod touch just over $139 if it gets a full 30% discount. That would be a fantastic deal if true, so we’ll have to wait and see if that circular is indeed the real thing.
Walmart’s deals will start at 5 a.m. on Black Friday.
