Griffin Wave Case $5 Shipped From Amazon (iPhone Bargains)

*Update 4* After reviewing this case, we don’t recommend purchasing it at any price.

*Update 3* Gone again.

*Update 2* Looks like the deal is back on again.

*Update* Deal is gone. Back to $12.

If you’re looking for a cheap iPhone case, the Griffin Wave case is currently $1 on Amazon.com with $4 shipping. It’s a frosted clear silicone case with a wave-pattern rim available in 5 colors (but only the black is on sale). It also comes with a peelable clear screen protector, but there are a lot of complaints about the protector on Amazon, so you’ll probably end up not using it.

Flock It! Free for a Limited Time

Flock It! (iTunes link) is a fun, unique game where the object is to herd sheep around a series of obstacles and into a sheep pen. The herding is done by touching the screen near the sheep, which simulates a sheepdog barking and scaring the sheep to move in another direction (you’ll actually hear a dog bark).

The game throws various challenges at you like keeping the sheep out of mud or from falling into a river or pretty much anything that keeps their wool from being ruined. Yes, the reason you’re herding all these sheep is to shave off their precious wool (not eat them like you’d do a yummy cow). There are also lots of mini-games scattered about like finding the wolf disguised in sheep’s clothing.

All in all, it’s a pretty fun game for free, and the novelty of the gameplay is worth the download alone. It’s perhaps best suited for children, although many adults (including me) will find it fun too.

Flock It! is a free download for a limited time from the App Store.

NBA League Pass iPhone App Price Drops by $20

The NBA League Pass (iTunes link) app for the iPhone has seen a price drop to $19 (was $39). The app features live streaming video of 40+ NBA games a week, basically any game that isn’t being broadcast locally or on national TV. The video streaming works over WiFi or 3G. You can also watch full replays of games in case you miss them. Not a bad deal, as a similar package on DirecTV cost around $170.

The quality of the video is pretty good—maybe just a tad better than the MLB’s At Bat app. There were some complaints about early versions of the app dealing with voice syncing, but they appear to be ironed out after a recent update. There’s a lite version if you want to try it out.

The app also has other features like push notifications and live stats. Full list below:
