Free Starbucks WiFi for Your iPhone (With Starbucks Card)

Starbucks iPhone-friendly login screen

*Update* WiFi access is now totally free (no Starbucks Card needed) for AT&T Wireless/iPhone users.

AT&T has begun replacing T-Mobile as the WiFi provider for Starbucks. They are offering 2 hours of free WiFi to owners of a Starbucks Card. They even have a nice iPhone- and iPod Touch-friendly login page.

What is a Starbucks Card? It’s simply a gift card with a few perks. Besides the free 2 hours of WiFi, you also get free syrup and milk options for your beverage, free brewed coffee refills, and a free tall beverage when you purchase Starbucks coffee beans. Starbucks Cards start at $5 and have a minimum reloading amount of $5.

Additional Wifi access can be purchased once your two hours have elapsed. It will cost $3.99 for every 2 hours of access. Unlimited access is available for $19.99 a month, and you also can use any of AT&T’s 70,000 WiFi access points throughout the world. Access to Starbucks and other AT&T Wifi spots will be free to AT&T broadband customers (DSL, etc.). I am an AT&T DSL customer, so I’m excited about this. A Starbucks barista in downtown Chicago informed me that AT&T will be coming to Chicago in the next couple months, and the roll out across the country should be near complete by the end of the year.
